This film is started by a short animation called the blue umbrella. It's about a blue umbrella who keeps trying to find the red umbrella but with great consequences to himself. Then the fun starts. Firstly you see a school bus pulling up in front of monsters INC and a group of school monsters flood off it including a little Mike Wazowski. They have a tour and when the scarers came out mike decided to go to monsters university so he could become one too. When he reached the right age he got on the bus and got to MU, he was made to be a roommate with you've guessed it... Randall Bloggs. He studies and studies until the big exam to see if he can stay on the scaring programme for the rest of the school year. In a fight with James.P.Sullivan, they break something valuable to the head teacher and know they have to prove them selfs to be worthy of scaring by winning the scare games. Will they do it or will they get expelled?
